Ever Get That Sync-ing Feeling? (Ch. 2 Gets An X-Ray)

One of the cool benefits of publishing via Amazon Kindle is that the work can be revised or corrected even after it has moved from our virtual shelf to yours. If we spot typos or grammatical errors, a corrected draft can be uploaded that will be swapped out for the incorrect copy – even the incorrect copy you may have already purchased. Every time you press the “sync” button on your Kindle device or app, the content is refreshed. If a newer version exists, you’ll receive it instantly. That’s pretty cool for folks like us, who are experimenting with self-publishing and would never be able to afford actual reprints, but I imagine it is a rather invisible benefit to readers, who are already expecting an error-free read.

A more obvious benefit is that we are also adding new content in the form of “Amazon X-Ray” – a Kindle feature that provides a glossary, character profiles, and world-building details about the story’s locations and artifacts. Often, this content isn’t added until after the initial release. To ensure that you always have the fullest experience, just click that “sync” button before you read!
